
Terms of Service
Skog Cleans takes the upmost consideration when it comes to your home. Your home is your sanctuary, and we care for your home like it's our own. We aim to be understanding, accommodating and respectful to you and your personal preferences and situations. The terms and policies stated below are to give you peace of mind and to protect your home and belongings. It also acts to keep communication open between you and our team, so that we may build a solid relationship that meets your individual needs while also protecting our staff.
Minimum Charge
Our Minimum Charge is $100
Deposit
A 25% deposit is required for all first-time cleans, move in and move out cleans. If you need to cancel and cannot re-book at a later date, we will refund 100% of the deposit as long as 3 business days’ notice is given to cancel.
If you cancel within 1 business day/24 hours of your appointment, the deposit will not be refunded.
Payments
We accept credit card payments, e-transfers and cash. GST will be added to all services and a summary of those services and any extras including mileage fees will be on your invoice.
Payment is due on the day of services. If the amount owing is not payed in full in 14 days, we will charge the owing amount to the credit card on file.
Tips
Tips are always appreciated but never required. Cash is best!
Home entry and Keys
We always take the upmost care with the privilege of entering your home and keep any entry codes or keys given secured. If you would like to arrange alternative entry, we can discuss the details before initial services.
Satisfaction Guarantee
We stand by our work! If any of our services do not meet your expectations, within 24 hours of completion we will return and rectify any issues. We do not give refunds or discounts for work completed.
Valuables and Potential Damage
If we break or damage anything in your home, we will bring it to your attention as soon as possible and aim to make it right. We limit our liability, at a maximum, to the total value of your cleaning service for any claims that may arise.
Any damage must be reported within 24 hours, with pictures of the issue to our business email skogdomestic@gmail.com If we do not receive pictures with an email within the 24-hour period, we reserve the right to waive the issue and will not provide any compensation.
Using Client Products and Equipment
We will use client-provided tools and equipment if requested, but a damage waiver must be signed. We will not be held responsible for equipment failures or damage as a result of using client products/equipment.
Moving Furniture
We require permission to move large furniture in writing and release us from any liability related to damage that could be caused by moving heavy furniture. This includes stoves and fridges. If you would like behind/under any large furniture or appliances cleaned, please have them already moved before we arrive.
Laundry
We offer laundry services but assume zero liability for laundry and laundry machines. At the time your quote operation specifics and preferences will be noted and agreed upon. A waiver is required to be signed to do laundry and operate your machines.
Pets
We are pet lovers but cannot accept any responsibility for any incidents that might occur while we are in your home related to your pet. We are not permitted to let your pet outside.
If you have an aggressive pet in your home, please take them with you or lock them in a safe location during service. If a pet makes a staff member feel uncomfortable, we may not be able to finish the cleaning.
Photos and Videos
We take pride in our work and like to share our success; we will often take photos or videos at homes. We would never take photos of personal info, family pictures or anything in your home that would embarrass or incriminate anyone. The photos and videos we take are for social media and marketing purposes. If you are not comfortable with us using photos or videos taken in your home, we will honor your request.
Rates
We provide our services based on the size of your home, rooms and tasks not at an hourly rate. We always strive to do our best work and do not want to be limited or rushed by a strict time frame. This way your repeated service is always predictable and done to our highest standard. If your home or situation is out of the ordinary, we may have to adjust the quote. If we feel we have quoted too high, we will also reduce the rate after the service. Extras usually can be added on the day of service, if we can add them, we will adjust your invoice. Mileage is also charged for any residents outside the cities of Spruce grove and Stony Plain. Our Office is located on RR 21 in Parkland County. If the mileage from your home to the office is less, then from the town of Spruce Grove you will be charged at the lower distance. The mileage rate is $0.50 per KM.
